Sounded like a beer cap
I try to identify the object before I scoop
But this was a nice surprise after scooping so many beer caps
I have found that the depth, age, shape ... all have there own ring tones
This is why I dig everything -
The 22.2 gram 14K bracelet I recently found, also sounded similar to a beer cap

The Explorer 2 in digital display.....

A penny, smashed aluminum screw off cap, a lead slide fishing weight
all read 7 - 25 on the display the same as a mens Gold wedding band...

I've hit areas that other detectors have pounded to death
The were just digging some targets...
I cleaned up after them using The EX 2 WITH THE 14" excelerator Coil
Man - I, couldn't believe haw much they were missing...

Think the total bands was around 18 in a two months period

Think about it - a beer cap is a beer cap right

But the styles of rings and jewelery are endless....

lets not get into how many rings sound like a pull tabs..
The shape and size of the pull tab are endless too....

as far as the small gold chains - the explorer wont touch them, but I have found some -
Only because they had a pendant attached
I open the bottom of the display all the way to the left.

Do you dig every target that pinpoints?

Grid it and Dig it

That Ring is an eye catcher. I believe the Ring with the compartment is an old Premium Toy Ring. I will try and find it in my book after work tonight and see if it is in there. Nice Fishing Weight also. And I see that you brought back a prisoner of war with you. LOL! Great finds again and continued success with your daily adventures of Sea Pirating. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
