Camp Finds

Last Saturday I detected at an old camp with some fellow YTC's. The camp is no longer in use, but has numerous buildings remaining. I believe the camp was in operation for 2 different periods of time, the first during the 1800's. Some of my fellow detectorists found some stuff from that era. Me however I did not, but you can review what I did find below. I did find a merc as well as a holed English 1 penny copper. It was my first holed coin. We detected from 10AM to 6:30PM. Most of that time I was swinging a SEF 12X15, talk about muscle burn!!!

Enjoy...

Sweet!!!

Great Finds!!!! Keep pounding that site!!!!
I have seen a few of those English penny's pulled around this area... I would like to find one... I think they are pretty neat!!!
Keep up the good work man!!! And that 12x15 is heavy.... But its a Mop as well... You will really clean up a area with it!!

The English penny is cool jaichim...and good finds on the others as well.

This was actually a club fun hunt, so it was a one time shot at the camp. There were about 16 of us, and 15 of us found silver. The one that didn't found a 1864 two cent piece in really nice condition. For some strange reason he wouldn't trade it for my merc! :) Believe it or not, another person found an English 1 penny as well, I believe it was 1924, it wasn't holed. So tons of finds that day to go around. We're having another club fun hunt tomorrow at a 3 acre site with some houses from the 1800's. I'll let you know how it goes.
