Can anyone tell me the difference between the Infinium and the Garrett Sea Hunter. They seems to be close to the same. Any help would be appreciated!

First select - - - Infinium LS then Sea Hunter MkII

If for gold prospecting or relic hunting in difficult ground.
I would choose the Infinium LS as it's ground balancing capability is required.

If for mainly ocean water hunting.
I would choose the Sea Hunter MK II as it has a no motion detection option. (easier to pinpoint with when hunting in a surf)

The Infinium has auto ground tracking ; The Sea Hunter does not have ground tracking.

The Infinium has normal PI discrimination plus duel tone target ID that is mainly for separating high conductivity metal from low conductivity metal : The Sea Hunter has normal PI discrimination and is single tone..

The Infinium is a Motion detector : The Sea Hunter is No Motion.

The Infinium is set up to operate in highly mineralised ground and to ignore most hot rocks that are found in the gold fields. It is a gold detector that has the ability to be adjusted to operate very well on salt water beaches and for scuba work. This detector will function very well anywhere and in all ground conditions.

The Sea Hunter is set up for salt water beach and scuba operation and will be noisy on hot rocks and gold field heavy mineralisation. This is an excellent beach machine

The Infinium can be adjusted to reduce or cancel the effects of external electrical interference : The Sea Hunter can not.

These are the main differences between these two machines.

Cheers,
Adrian SS
