can I use a Exp II X-1 probe for SE?

still learning the SE but plan to get a X-1 probe. Pricey especially the SE version with lower shaft.

Can I get a Exp II version and use it on the SE?

Can one get the SE version but with a "tall man lower shaft"? At 6'3" the current SE is just a little short for long hunting or maybe I just walk around like Mousollini?

I have no problem doing a slight modification to SE shaft. Pretty simple set up till you get to the pandora box of settings:)

No silver yet but around 40 coins, matchbox car and cub scout nechershief clip.

Site has been great help,

Thanks to everyone

The Explorer II and SE, Also Quattro.........Share the same middle shaft configuration.

The Middle shafts above are all the same, just different Colors.

The lower shaft and middle shaft are completly independent on the x-1.

Suggestions on good place to get a Exp II version of X-1 probe for my SE? can be used new etc as long as it works. I can modify as needed to fit the SE if needed.

I bought mine from Joe. His service was great and I've really used the thing.
You will be glad to have it as part of your hunting arsenal.

Hi guys,

I would appreciate it if someone had the time to explain about a probe, how they work and the benefits of them also what would be good for me if there is a preference for a female or does it matter at all? i presume they are all small and light.

Regards Maureen..H.H.

Hi Maureen,

They are small and light. Like I said, I have one that I got from Joe DeMarco. I had him mount it on another shaft so I still have my original SE shaft. I really like it and it's great for detecting in the hole after you've started to dig. I would buy it all over again.
