Can my Compadre go for a swim

Jay hawk

Member
Earlier thus summer I found a very trashy beach. I was wondering if I could take my compadre in the water so long a I didn't get the control box wet. How waterproof is the 5.75 coil.
Thanks

Tesoro makes completely submersible, high-quality coils. I would put a plastic bag around the control box just in case of a slip.

I know of a couple guys who bought waterproof housings for the compadre, but not sure how it turned out. You might want to look into something like that.

Thanks will look into it. O does anyone know where I might find one.

I tried the Compadre in water. It works great.

Some beaches I found the Compadre works fine.

Other times I found that it was beeping at nothing. I was digging and searching, but nothing found. I think it was found wet sand. But it didn't makes sense since there is wet sand in the water and nothing was out of the ordinary at that time.
