i am going to the library today to see if i could pull up some oldies maps , to see what has been around
to find the old stuff. but if u guys can find any links to some old maps in Gurnee Illinois , or round lake Illinois 60073
that would be alsome unless i find some at the stacks , im hopeing ..

there's been a few map sites posted up on this forum for both new & old maps i"d try a search for "maps" & the first forum i"d try would be the explorer one as most of those boys are after real old stuff & i think it"s the last place i"v seen one posted.

Look for Topo maps. Also look on the internet for the Library of Congress. They have a slew of maps and info. Whileat the library look thru old copies of the City Directory for places that used to exist and where. Look in old newspapers on the entertainment and religious sections for sites of public events, old outdoor skating rinks, drive-in movies, carnivals, sites of Fourth of July events, outdoor baptisms, church socials and pinics, etc.
