:canadaflag:Flying Bra Island gives up 1832 token

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member
From the land of the Bluenose.....if you recall Navy Davy and I had run across a very unusual site so we renamed the place "Flying Bra Island" as some one had strung bras all over the Lands and Forests booth.

Well today we returned to find that the "decorations" had disappeared. We can only hope that they are now housing a few nice puppies! Lord love a duck.

Anyway the view as always was nice with a border of ice along the shore and in some spots on land a frost that was at least 6 inches deep.

Of course there was a few other oddities on the island!

Think that was weird look at this photo as Navy Davy did his best imitation of Freddie Kruger stabbing, stabbing and more stabbing the earth like a man posed by the penny that lay under the tundra!

Doing hard time was easy compared to digging in this concrete but when all was said and done ND had 13 coins, a key, a spoon and a few dewies.

His best find came into use when I dug the large coin and we tried to see the date! Can you believe these two blind bats!

Anyway quota was achieved at 58 coins @ $4.04 plus the token.

Love the photos showing the area your working and especially your finds, wow. I am a newbie to all this with lots to learn, especially researching what you find. :help:
Do you have any links that you can share with me on researching tokens?
I think it is a token that I found the other day, but on my searches through google I have not found anything that identifies it as yet, so still wondering what I have.

I have added a couple of pics, do you know if this is a token? It says Luna Park Restaurant Heliopolis and has the number 2 on the back. If you have knowledge in tokens and this is a token, what would be the number 2 on the back for?

Regards

Nice digs Leslie, you may have been on flying bra island but that 1832 is sure no boobie prize, she's a gooder.

Kathleen dear. You did a wonderful job of adding pictures and giving a description, but we generally create a new post, if you have a new non related find, so as not to step on the last fellow. You have a good heart dear and it's a new person type accident. You can always re post your cool find as a new separate posting. B.T.W., it is a cool find and looks to me as being a meal token, say worth two bucks at that restaurant, just a guess.

Nice to see some grass and not snow like up here.
Good finds and hunt .

Sincere apologises stinkfoot, I'm on a MXT, so have been in that forum and whatzit. Very new to all this, only started a couple weeks ago detecting and joined Find's. Great site.
I was just going through reading others sucess stories that find tokins hoping to find someone that might be able to give me some research or catalog links on tokens, how do they find out what they have found etc.
Again, sincere apologises if I have stepped on Leslie or any others posts.

Love looking at the photos when it comes to the areas you all detect, puts little ole NZ down under that is so far away visually along with you on your days out. Leslie has ice and we have summer, so different.

Regards

No problem dear. I was trying to be delicate and may have over stepped my bounds, because I'm just another ordinary member. I meant well and hope that you come back again soon. Thank you.
