Captured a little pirates treasure trove today.

Went to a small sandlot park this morning expecting a couple pennies as Ive seen other detectors hitting it. I guess a little pirate didnt know about the old pirate w/ the green machine when he buried 6 quarters neatly stacked about 3 inches down. $2.11 total plus a cheap earring and some type of knob.
 
The old pirate taking from the young pirate. With a lessened learned, maybe some day the young pirate will be a wise old pirate

I remember doing that when I was a kid. Not quite so many pennies though. Those were the days in Australia before dollars and cents. There are probably thousands of these little caches around yards and schools.
