I had to go to NC for business, so of course I took the magic wand along...I had a meeting at 10am so I had a few morning hours to hunt, luckily, I checked out mapquest satellite image on this little town I would be at, and found what looked like a couple of ball fields, fired up the F70, and commenced to swing. The ground was that red clay with chert mixed in, very different from this Michigan sandy loam, long story short, I stabbed and grabbed 8.62 two dollars of which were a Sac and a Zack..my digging finger was stained a dirty looking red, but I had some windex and paper towels in the car and got cleaned up for my meeting, and back on the road home by noon...I'll be back there in April, for a few days, and really work that town good, I dont think theres another detectorist around, cause that was a lotta clad in a short time. i'll find the swimming spot and take the CZ 20 too...driving that much, a fellow sees all sorts of good looking spots along the way, so much ground to cover!
Well, its finally spring so I'll be hunting more and posting less, thanks for getting me through the winter!

and says, "I lost my wedding ring out here I think" When? "two years ago", Where? "out there by second base I think" Whaddaya mean you think? "Well, I coach the little league team, so it really could be anywhere, I lost a lot of weight, and I golf too, so I am really not sure" So I got his name and number and said I'd give it a go...any excuse to get out and hunt!
Ya just never know do ya?
Some lady was convinced she lost her ring at the sledding hill...right in a little area, she even ran an ad in the paper...so I called her and went looking...unsuccessfully, called her back and she said, "Well, I DID go over to the other side taking pictures once" so I keep going back, luckily, I left her my number and told her to call if somebody else found it...she called me back and said she found it near the front door of her house once the snow melted...I did get 15 bucks off that hill, so it wasn't a complete waste of time...Ya just never know do Ya?

Where Did you drive from ?
