Cellar hole "stuff"

New member
Got out for a while this weekend and hit a cellar hole spot. I know it's been hit probably many times but you know the story, there's always more stuff.
Only coin was an 1862 fattie IH. Also found a "domed" flat button and a huge buckle - if anyone knows what it might be for, I'd appreciate opinions.
Other items were a 10k gf ring (darn), a thimble and a decent size bell. The last item seems to be a plate that might have been fastened to a piece of
machinery.

Bryce, I forgot to mention that this buckle was UNDER a piece of iron bigger than the buckle !! (about 5 inches deep)

The plate is likely from an automobile horn made by the Garford Mfg Co. of Elyria, OH. They apparently had various 'Rexo' models up through the Rexo VI (the plate is from the Rexo IV). Google on the Garford Auto Horn and you'll see some hits.

excuse my english

i found a similar piece like this that looks like a bell. In my opinion it serves to extinguish the flame of a candle, i saw it at an old movies

Cool stuff! Way to go!
