...I called them today,shoulda grabbed a crying towel-$149 installation;maybe$100 more for special high reach equipment if needed,$70 router to move computer when we change the living room around;$30 wireless card,$30 service fee for FUTURE service calls,1st months payment(2 year contract required;26.95/mo)-They want either $306,or$406 up front,PLUS $27 A MONTH FOR THEIR INTERNET??I got one thing to say to that:FUGETABOUTIT!!I will stick to dial-up;and tell my father in law to put up with the phone line being busy from time to time...

Mine didn't cost anything to install, only $30 for the router, and it is cheaper than I was paying for dial up! Maybe you need to check with other IP's?

We switched to Quest and got $26.00 per month for life, no set up fees plus it included the MSN server . steve in so az

we have Charter Communications. Also, have you checked Alltel? They have a card that plugs into a laptop and you can take the laptop anywhere - like your cell phone but don't have to have a cable for your phone (another option). Still far less than what you were telling us those bandits wanted.
