change PI coil Not change settings?

Hey All! I have a Sea Hunter MK 2 and am thinking about the new coil. What are the thoughts of swapping coil sizes without changing machine settings, width delay etc.?
What sensitivity to particular metals may develop?

Hi Neal,
I am not familiar with the Seahunter MK2, but as it is a PI, it should be easy to change coils without changing any of the settings. When you say you are thinking about the new coil, does this mean that there is an alternative coil available from Garrett?
Generally, larger coils give more range on larger objects, while smaller coils give better pinpointing and higher sensitivity to small objects.
Eric.
