Have been wanting a pin pointer since I got my Ace 250, really wanted the Sun Ray but money is tight right now. Being the cheap person I am I bought this from Harbor Freight, it works!

Its not weather proof, it is made in China just like dog food. It comes with a battery "Megaton" brand, that was too funny, a decent case, it has an LED to illuminate the hole you are probing, I used my soldering iron to add a couple of holes for the LED and tuning knob to stick out of the case so I can use it while being protected by its case. It has speeded up my digging a lot, the push button makes it easier to use than the one I made out of a GB Instruments GPD-902 Voltage/Wire/Pipe detector, the homemade one had to be re-tuned every time I wanted to use it, if you want to make your own check this link http://www.tomstreasures.com/probe.html
