Our group had lost 7 employees within a couple weeks and so had overtime = a lot of overtime. Not complaining about the OT money though. Used to have someone come in at 6 AM to help get guys up, fed, medications, etc. So had it all to do myself (with God's help of course) then the 8 AM staff came in and needed my help to get one of the wheelchair/bed bound guys up. Been getting about an hour and a half overtime every day. Been having troubles with my eyes lately. One I couldn't see much out of to begin with and the other has glaucoma. Eyes have been itchy and watery and have been having trouble seeing the small print on the medicine papers I work with...not a good thing. Part of it is being tired at 4 AM when I have to begin to do meds and do the med count afterwords. Been assured they will have a 2nd person working on Midnights with me soon so we can share the workload and help keep med errors from happening. Just waiting to see if this really happens. In the meantime pray for my sight to get better.
This weekend is Bud Bash Weekend.....party time and beer guzzling people who show their stupidity in public. We have a large contingent of Police from all over - even the Michigan State Police Mobile Crime Lab is present to quickly process law violators. We have the MSP troopers from the local and Grayling Posts here, Department of Natural Resources and Environment Law Enforcement Officers, Sheriff Department and local Police agencies too....including all the marine patrol of all those agencies and even aircraft flying over head to tell the ground or water based forces where trouble is. Yeah it is a BIG deal. The locals all know this...people come up here on vacation and lots leave on probation. Alcohol and immorality rain high during this weekend. Even the fire department has a crew standing by at the stations - we have had fatalities in the past - cars and motorcycle accidents. So for the sake of these people please pray for their safety - and sanity - so they go home safely.
Been doing an occasional check here but haven't had time at work to answer any posts but have prayed for those with prayer requests and continued prayers for my Brothers and Sisters in TN and in other states as well. Praying all are doing well and God continues to meet all the needs of His children. God bless and keep you,
