OH MY,WHERE do I start??....When I put her away for the night last night,I was thinking "I hope it is in tune come morning",because the other guitars I have go out of tune if you so much as look at them......I got up this morning,pulled Ms Taylor out,SAME as last night,when I put her away.....I am taking her to Church with me Sunday,I am going to introduce the congregation to Ms.Taylor,by way of her playing an insturmental version of "The Old Rugged Cross"-And let them hear the glorious voice she has,for themselves...................

C.F Martin HD35,and this Taylor.Deciding factor??This Taylor 814ce has built-in on board electronics,for playing thru an amp-Plug and play.....The Martin,on the other hand,is electronics optional,and is a $300.00 option,and a 2-3 week wait,while they were installed.

Actualy, i've had a few Martins over the years but was forced to sell 'em to survive
My 35 was my newest. I bot it new in 2000.
My other Martins were older, my oldest bein a '64 D-28.
I'm now lookin into a Taylor.
In my research and 'test drivin' , i've learned that the Taylors come out of the box far more playable than the Martins do hands down !!
They both have thier own distinct sounds too and i love 'em both but the pre set up playability of the Taylors right out o' the box far surpasses the Martins in my hands.
I still have an old Barcus Berry pick-up and pre amp that i used with my Martins and with the correct acoustic amp it sure brought out the great Martin sound without havin to do anything invasive to the guitar.
That sure is one sweeeeeeet ax ya got there Hog. One that will last ya a life time o' pickin.
Hopefully it'll introduce ya to some new freinds, brighten up many o' day and git ya thru some lonely nights.

......A TON of sustain,GREAT bass,great mid,and wonderful trebles,too...the action is the LOWEST I have ever had,right out of the box,with NO fret buzz,or distortion,played any way,or with a CAPO,on the higher frets......Like every guitar,if she is in tune,GREAT-BUT:If she get OUT of tune,it takes me forever to get her :back in-REASON??I have never used an electronic tuner,I have always used the tuners God gave me(My ears.)....HOWEVER,my "born with" tuners are gettin old,sometimes it takes me forever to get it back in tune-SO;those newfangled electronic tuners are starting to look better,all the time.............

I have a srandard electronic tuner and allthough it works great, it has it's limitations.
I bot my wife a chromatic one fer her fiddle and i find myself usin it more than my own.
Sure makes quick work o' droppin that low E to a 2nd low D
( ya need that fer Poems and Prayers and Promises.) Which by the way, i'm workin on doin apologetics to.
I know exactly what ya mean about the sweet playability o' Taylors out o' the box
