For Christmas my husband bought me a Garrett pinpointer, and a brass probe. He could tell I was excited - he gave it to me in a clothing box, and just grinned when I started jumping up & down. My daughters chipped in together to get me a portable shovel.
Now I just have to wait 4 months until the ground is soft enough to dig.
Winter lasts way too long in some parts of Canada. It has been below -20 celcius for over two weeks, and was below -30 Celcius for a couple of days of that. bleah.
