..I did "I'll Fly Away" at church this morning;turned out GREAT-Before I do songs at church,I try to remember to ask the Father to help me do a good job,so we can all praise Him with song at Church-Had everybody singing,as well.......JUST AS I SAID before, when I mentioned"congregation participation"in this song, you could hear everybody say"UHHHHHHHHHHH"collectively.Later at Church Council meeting,we were discussing plans for a summer picnic and having some kind of entertainment act come in-I asked whom they were thinking of having for the entertainment, and Pastor turned to look at me and said"YOU"......Then explained that I could probably play while the act they brought in was takin a break.THEN the rest of Church Council said "YES-WE WANT YOU AS PART OF THE ENTERTAINMENT AT THIS PICNIC,TOO-WE LOVE HEARING YOU PLAY AND SING,AND DO NOT WANT YOU LEFT OUT-NO DOUBTS ABOUT IT!!!" I went into church before council meeting, and was cleaning and singing Tracey Lawrence's "Paint Me A Birmingham" to myself without my guitar, when I came around a corner, and the wives of 2 of my fellow Council Members were sitting in the kitchen, listening to me with my not knowing it.I stopped and they said "DONT STOP- HE IS ONE OF our favorite singers,AND YOU ARE DOIN A great JOB!!"SO:I went into Tracey Lawrence's "Time Marches On",and they were happy.Ive got a GREAT gift from the LORD in this ability, and Im not afraid to display it,nor am I hesitant to give Him credit for having it!!AMEN!!!
