CIVIL WAR BADGE FOUND WITH A T2

Found this badge ..rang up a nice 92 on the T2..
I know its the Rhode Island flag on the front...Anchor with hope underneath.
And on the back is a soldier wearing a "flock" coat....Very high collar..
I do live in Rhode Island and found it on a colonial era house property..I did some research and it could possibly be the first Rhode Island Regiment.....
Anybody know about these things...I waould like to find out for sure....
Also found a nice 1828 half cent...My first half cent ever...
