Civil War Era? - what do i have here?

Hello guys,

Pulled some rail spikes (see photo) out of a raised platform that runs through my backyard and down toward Aquia Creek. There is a point along the water that could have been a stop point for the old trains. Here are some of the items I pulled yesterday.

Any comments would be great. Not sure if I am looking at all civil war era stuff or something more modern. Lots of duck blinds in the area - so I am guessing hunters have also been building on the site for decades.

Thanks!

Jim

It may be worth cleaning the top of the railroad spikes as there are many interesting markings to appreciate. Peace
