Sat. morning I meet up with John, we decided where to go and his first target was a 1841 seated dime! I dug a 1908 presidential campaign tag. Bryan lost to Taft that year. I also dug my first bat wing. Had a great day enjoy the pics and good hunting to everyone. Tsgman

tsgman,

Now that is one fine Kick-off to the new relic season! Some very nice finds there. Is that a carved bullet in the right center on the 1st picture? Batwing, Saber sling hook, trigger guard, buttons, etc. Yep a fine way to kick off the new season.

What's that campaign tag doing in the midst of the CW stuff?

Good Job!

Kim

Kim, the rings were carved out, We have found several of those. John also found the trigger gaurd, his second one from this spot! This spot had to be the officers quarters due to the fact we have found coins and shoulder scales. I also think that the officers probably stayed in the home that used to be here. I suppose sometime after the early 1900's it was torn down. It is now a lot for cattle.
Across the street in the pasture we have dug over 800 dropped bullets, buttons, 3 us ovals and numerous other camp stuff.
