Civil war item found.....need expert comments

I have a friend who sent me these pics and was wondering what they might be. Any help would be appreciated. They were found in a civil war area so I am reaching out to you civil war experts out there.

I've found ones like it ,I was going to send pictures but could not find them ,I've been told they hammered them in a tree mine brace ,or into log in log cabins and hung lantern on them. Of course the sharp point would be straight on yours. Hope that helps.

I would agree. Hanger driven into wood, trees, wagon etc.
