Civil War Relic

First of all, I'm jealous of all you metal detectors. I've always wanted to do what you do, but won't have time until my next life. In the meantime, a friend suggested I write and ask if any of you know where I might find a really nice, authentic, Civil War relic for a Christmas gift for a special friend who's a historian and authority on the Civil War. Oh... I forgot to mention, at a reasonable price. I'd even be willing to barter a really nice glass necklace (I melt glass and make beads/jewelry.) for the right piece. I was thinking maybe a buckle or cannonball? But I'm open to suggestions. Well... thanks for reading this and happy Thanksgiving.

I appreciate the time you took to respond. Do you have any names of dealers out there who are reputable? I've read about how clever some forgeries are.
You seem like very nice people genuinely interested in your passion. If I ever do get a detector, you can bet I'll back in touch. :)
ps: Some of my necklaces are $350 and more. Check out my website www.glassybeads.com. I'm lucky to have found my passion, as you have found yours.

I don't sell my relics, a piece might only be worth $200 but it took me 15 years, thousands in gas and 5 tons of digging junk to find it. And at my age, If I sold it, I may be dead before I find another like it. :stretcher:
