Clad hunt

kickback

New member
I hit 2 spots for a little over 1 hour of hunting with the MXT Pro.Got $4.55 in clad coins.I was using the 6X10 coil.Bill

That's a nice rate for a detector some say is only a "mediocre" coin machine. Makes you wonder if some people jujst forget to turn the machine on. nice job.

Good going.
How does that machine work with the nickels? With the old MXT they come in
usually on a strong 18. 20 and 22 are usually junk.

Most nickels on my machine hit a strong 16-18 and 22+ is a pulltab (or big ol' diamond ring). I am in the habit of digging everything though and the two war nickels I have found ('42 and '45) both of them I thought were pulltabs. The latest one showed up as a 20 earlier one showed up as a 22. I use the MXT Pro with the same coil as Kickback and love this "mediocre" coin machine

Hey guys, glad to hear that your MXT PRO's are doing good. I just ordered mine last Friday from Whites. So then I'll have both the MXT and the PRO. Since the economy has gone down around here the clad, which that's mostly what I get here in Fla. anyway. But am glad to see that someone is getting some pretty good coins, I still stay hopeful that one day I'll happen up on something worth while at anytime. The best I've done (which was before July 4th) had been 46 quarters in less
than 4 hrs out at our sports complex. Also got a 14 ct ring w/the stone out, as it was hit with a large mower and mashed down about 1 in. in the ground.. It was busted up but the pawn shop gave me $70. for it.
Enjoy reading all the finds everyone has made. The ol MXT doesn't let you down does it. :detecting: :super:

P.S. I've been going over this place for 3 yrs now and still finding good stuff. So as the saying goes you NEVER find it ALL.
Thanks for looking and HH to all. Floridason, :usaa: retired.

If you got $70 for it consider yourself fortunate, especially since it was busted up.
Hope youo find more.
