TONE JUNKY

New member
I haven't posted in a while, but I just had to show off this beautiful Barber quarter I found yesterday. The detail on it is just great. Hardly any visable wear.
I hope you enjoy. HH

very nice detail love the barbers fun to find

Outstanding find. First thought it was a key date, but that would be the half of that date. Congrats.

Stellar looking quarter. What's the story behind the find?

Man look at the rim on that thing. Wouldnt you like to find a hoard of those babies? Great coin.

Very nice Barber quarter Tone Junky. Was it very deep?
What coil did you did you use on your Explorer?

I was using the 8 x 6 coil. It wasn't very deep, maybe 4". I was hunting in an old park along a well beaten path. It was very hard digging. the path had been there for years. I got a good silver signal right in the middle of the path & started diggin. As I dug, the signal kept getting better & better. I just knew it was going to be a good one. There's no way a clad quarter could have been 4" down in that hard path. When I first saw it I could tell right away what it was. It was beautiful. I guess being impacted in that gravel & pact dirt kept it from coroding too bad.

I also got a 3 ringer & round ball not far from the quarter.

I usually avoid the path because it is so well used even today by joggers, walkers & bikers. I don't like getting in peoples way. But, an older fella told me he found a Franklin Half right on the path not long ago & that prompted me to hunt on the path as well. I'm glad I did. Thst is the best looking coin I've found. I've been hunting for 7 years now & it is also my first Barber quarter.

THanks for lookin & commenting, HH
