I have suggested for many years to some of the people at Garrett that designing a back pack that had the means to carry an extra metal detector was a good idea. Many times I have gone out on relic hunts taking along more then one detector. I am a believer that no detector does it all, so I often took the GTI 2500 plus the ACE 250 with the sniper coil to help get targets in hard to get places such as areas of tree saplings in the woods, or real trashy areas. And....often times, I dreaded the thought of leaving my back-up detector in the car, in case someone might break into it and steal it along with other valuables..

Well, it looks like Garrett listened. They designed a very large useful back pack for supplies plus an extra metal detector.

It was very well designed, with separate compartments, pockets and even a small zippered pouch on one of the padded.securing straps ont the chest straps.

Well guys there will be an Army Alice pack on ebay tommorow. Looks like I gotta have this one.

Yeah, I have been looking at that back pack. Would also be great for those sites that you would have to hike into. The only place that I have found that sells them now is Kellyco. $50.00:garrett:

That's great to see John. I've often used a back pack, but because of it's size, it's not the best. Having a purpose built back pack; brilliant!

Hey John:
I noticed in your picture your prospecting in the snow, have you had any luck with that? isn't it kind of hard to dig stuff up?
Jim

Oh yeah!:bouncy:I seen that in the catalog and it is on my wishlist!:biggrin:I like how it has a holder on the side for a bottle of water. Mine that I use now has one on each side, but I like that new Garrett backpack a lot more. It really has some good features! Of course, if John put a bottle of water on the side of his backpack it would be a bottle of................ICE!:rofl:Happy Hunting!:)

Actually, I did find a quarter at the bottom of the hill. In my right hand is a quarter still in a hunk of snow  My wifey was the photographer..............

Yes....if the rods are halved. The height of the 2 larger sections are 22" x 15" (56 cm x 38 cm..). The smaller section is 15" x 9 " (38cm x 23cm). It has enough room to supply enough food for about a dozen hungry Aussies.

Yeh been thinking of hetting one of those...got me the small tote bag. Is quite handy.!

Thanks John.
That's 2 inches longer than my back pack and 5 wider. I'm pushing it to fit it in particulary on the length. it sounds like it would be worth wilie buying down the track as I sometimes use my push bike to get around and there are a few spots in Sydney that are best accessed by public transport.

Man, oh man, I got my Garrett Detectorist's backpack yesterday and I must say that it is awesome!:clapping:Man, I love this thing!:super: I've used several different types of backpacks throughout the years which were just general hiking type backpacks. Having this specialized metal detectorists backpack makes all the difference in the world. It is incredible and suits all my needs to a "T". At fifty bucks it is a bargain. Very well made of durable quality material. Even has the Garret logo with embroidered stiching. Way cool! Happy Hunting!:)
