Hi again Folks
The weather was excellent for detecting this past weekend
Met up with Eddie at the back side of the fort early on Saturday to start the hunting trip off. Things were going pretty slow at first finding the usual spent bullet casings, shell fragments, tent stakes, grommets, and hand grenade fragments, but Eddie found the first silva coin of the day. A '44D merc
We both started finding several wheat's in between then I came across a '43 merc a little while later to keep the silver even between Eddie and I
As the day progressed, Eddie hollered he had found a '41 Washington quarter and a wheat in the same hole
It may have been a half hour later when Eddie found another merc. A 1919. I hope he posts his finds along with his pics. Just before we left for the day, I got an 87 reading a few inches deep. Dug up the target to find a nice ruby sterling silver ring
I hope the gem is a ruby
but won't know until I take it to a jeweler to see if it's real or not. The ring size fits my ring ringer too which is an added bonus and beats a stick in the eye
On Sunday, I went solo this time. Decided to hunt some woods on the front side of the fort where I had found several silver coins in the past and managed to find a few more wheat's and a '43 war nickel at 4 inches deep
Didn't find anything else
so I got in my truck and drove home
Here's my weekend finds
Thanks for looking ya'll and HH
