CLEANSWEEP COILS NOT AVAILABLE?

I think the reason they are saying that for the sand shark and tigershark is that they have gone back to non-interchangeable coils on their water machines.

Is there a reason why Tesoro is going with the non-interchangeable coils when everyone else in the industry is using multiple coils per machine?

I am only talking about those 2 models being non-interchangeable with out factory work.
Not the rest of the line.
As for the clean sweeps them selves They may be working on some issue at this moment ? no clue...

just a guess but i think they warp a bit mine has, the tips curl up a bit anyone else had this problem?

I've been using Cleansweep coils since 2004 and have never seen this problem.
My first one was bought new in 2004. The old style heavy model.
My next three were bought used. Two old style heavy ones and one new style lite model.
My last one was bought new in 2011. The new style lite model.

None of them curled at the tips.

It sounds like the plastic may be lifting off the epoxy to me.

think i may have painted the wrong picture its more of a bowing so the coil is not flat which in my other words would look like the ends are curled but it begins from the middle, the coil still works its just not perfectly flat. nothing standing on either end at the same time wont fix  was just putting it out there as a possible reason?

it is one of the new lite ones.

maybe they are just not going to make them any more? these things happen.

The vendor who made the connectors for the water machines stopped making them. Tesoro tried to get or make a form, fit and function replacement and did not get a connector that passed all the tests. I guess they have now run low or out of connectors for coils in support of the older water machines. Hope there are some in reserve for repairs.

I talked with Tesoro about 3 months ago after looking for the 4-pin CleanSweep as I was told by a dealer that they were temp. unavailable. At the time, the 5-pin was still being manufactured and available. Tesoro stated that they had a manufacturing "glitch" with the 4-pins and were working to correct the problem but the 5-pins were still being manufactured. Don't know what could be going on with the coils. Both of mine work fine but as a previous post mentioned...Mine too are slightly "bowed"...Not perfectly flat as would be expected but still perfectly functional.

Coil bowed because when epoxy is curing it can move a bit, plus ABS white coil top can be not perfect too, but this is absolutely ok, nobody need flat like table coil except who detects on tables. :)

Looking on the Tesoro website it appears the Clean sweep coils are now not available for any model!

Guess I should have put a higher price on the one I'm selling on the accessories section. Mines the old style with the SS bolt that Tesoro used to use, its new, never been used. Probley the one before the lighter weight model.

I hope the get the CleanSweep's back on the market soon...I need an ex-tra 5-pin coil for my Troy Shadow X2. I found this Mens 10k with my Tejon and the 4-pin CleanSweep two Sundays ago. They are absolutely "killer" coils when used in the right enviroments.
