Closed down park

The wife had a day off yesterday so we decided to try to get some huntin in. One of her friends at work told her they closed the neighborhood park and took all the equipment away, we could not figure which one this was. come to find out it was a park we never knew of, in our own town. We got the adress from the city and could not find it, called back and the city told us we had to enter between two residential drive ways, the only way unless you lived in the houses around there. Ok this was cool a never huinted old park, the only thing there was a small square of asphalt for the basketball court and about an acre and a half of uninterupted huntin. Got about an hour and a half before the rain and got a few goodies. Don't think there is anything to old in there because the park was built in 1950. that tube with the green thing is a live 9mm shell, don't know if it's a blank or what.

What a great place from the looks of the haul today. You will have a sure fire site for some time now, Steve in so az

Yeah, it was fun getting out there with the wife and doing a little double teaming the goodies. She found four of the rings the car the round thing with the hole that looks like it used to be a coin and the bullet. hope it holds a little more silver.

just the washington so far

Good hunting Lee. Even though it was built in 1950, that is still 59 years of possible lost stuff, plus there may be some older stuff prior to that date. Neven know what the ground is hiding. If you find more post it for us to enjoy.

Congrats to you and your wife, Lee, on the rings, the silver and all the neat items! Really nice to be able to detect where other detectorists haven't been going all the time! Should be some more silver and even rings there! :clapping: God Bless! Betty

one never knows where a good tip will come from.
