Cluttered junk area

Hi , I’ve been hitting the beach hard lately ( Lk. Michigan) . I have been using 5 x10 , but having problems with too much trash, like a dump and was wondering if I should change to my 6” concentric or buy the 6” DD . This place is like a dump, pinpointing with the 5x10 is almost impossible.
I’m thinking a smaller coil would help but just not sure on concentric or DD .
This is not a wide open beach area , for the open beach area I just go to a bigger 10.5”. DD

I would try the 6" Concentric since you have it already. It may fair better, because the 5x10" is still 10: heel to toe, so it will work about the same as your 10.5" but shallower due to the narrower width.
If the concentric doesn't work, then you'll have little other choice than to get a 6" DD or give up hunting that spot.

Ok thanks that helped , I’ll try the 6” concentric and try the 6”DD. We here in Michigan are just coming out of winter and are getting frozen hands out swinging but after being cooped up all winter it still feels good , lol. Thank You.

Ok Old longhair , that 6” Concentric is very hot in cluttered areas , so I guess I’m gonna hav3 to start saving for the 6” DD.

It may still be busy with all the clutter, but it should be easier to sort through it.
I really like my 6" 3kHz DD "Digger" coil. The difference in response makes it a winner sorting through trash for high conductors.

Ok thanks but I don’t think I can afford the 6” Digger coil . I’ll probably have to sell my 6” concentric after I get a new coil. Social Security. Stinks ,, lol
