anyone using or have experience with coil housings from hays electronics? just wondering about the quality of the product or experiences dealing with them. also is there anyone else who sells such a product? thank you and hh.
john.

John,
The Hays coil housings are really great. The two halves fit like a glove. Mr. Hays includes some scrap plastic which you can melt in MEK and use to seal the two halves together when your coil is finished. I used the small 7" coil housing to make a coaxial coplanar coil for a PI detector. you can see an article I wrote which is posted on Carl Moreland's Geotech site. Dave. * * *

Ignore that crap. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Dave's right, I bought one each of Bill Hays' coil housings, and they are nicely made. Not quite as good as what manufacturers are using, but plenty good enough.
