coil info

My used F70 works great with the 11 inch DD

But it came with a small oval coil 5.5 by 10 inch that only picks up low signals and not very deep like this one http://www.carryallcanada.ca/apps/webstore/products/show/5747816

there are no #s on the coil

when cycling thru the menu it skips the tone adjustment and notch adjustment

any thoughts please

think I found the skipping over functions
I had put it in autotune without realizing

still very poor info from this coil after close examination I found a split/cut in the wire right down by the coil white visible under black not sure if wires have been damaged

Your coil is busted.
Not a whole lot have experience with this coil on the F75 because that is not a popular option for that unit and on the F70 many overlook this thing, rarely use it and put it away in favor of that big DD once they get one and never get to know it well.
I have both of those coils and I can tell you for sure this coil is a dream on the F70, (when it works right), goes almost as deep as that big one, ID's the heck out of them extremely well, sounds better and will give you info on all targets including the high ones.
It picks up the higher ones really well as a matter of fact and I have all kinds of silver jewelry, older coins and even a Peace dollar in my possession that can prove it.

If you bought this unit new get back with the dealer asap because you got a bad coil for sure and you definitely want a chance to see how a good one works.
The big DD is a great coil so not everyone is into using this concentric one but most never learned to understand well either.
I did, it is a beloved well used accessory in my arsenal.

thanks for the info I will file this coil under G and sell the cover for it
