Coil Light Allways on??

ZIPZIP

New member
Going to order a Deus in a few days, had a read up of the Manaul and there is something Im not sure about, the Coils blinking light can I turn it off? OR is it on all the time? Thanks for any replys .... Zip

It's always on, but uses very very little battery. Top your batteries off after use and you're good to go for your next hunt (I do top mine off again before the next hunt if it's been several days). The fact that the coil is always on (blinking) is not an issue in my opinion.

Ok thanks for that Beepsilver, its just that when I fly anyplace now everything has to be OFF or you dont fly!! (NEW RULES) I,ll just have to see what happens on my next trip?? Thanks Beepsilver, Zip

electrical tape?

It is an issue if you have the Deus in a room where you sleep. That little light is bright when it blinks. I now have an official light sock I tie around the light.

I've traveled with my Deus multiple times packed in me checked luggage.
When I've packed mine when flying, I put a small piece of black electrical tape over the light.
That way if they do open my bag it isn't blinking in their face.
No harm No fowl.

Thanks Everyone!! When it arrives I,ll just paint a little nail polish (Black) on it and its good to go!! too easy. Zip

However...it also indicates when the coil is fully charged during the charging process.

I'd not put anything permanent over it.

Maybe something like an eye patch?

I store my 9" coil in a tennis racket case. No flashing light and it protects the expensive coil between digs.
