Coil post closed

Closing that debated post over proper coil choices was probably a good thing only because it wasn't accomplishing anything constructive, kind of like the other post about petitioning for a certain coil. Minelab seems to have left Xterra owners down and Coiltek has told me they are aware of the demand for the 3khz but have no current plans for one. Funny thing about this, is that I read where the owner of White's was in favor of other companies making coils for their machines as it kept people buying their machines and using them if they felt other coils made the machines more versatile. I for one still have my Xterra 705 and plan on keeping it because it is a very good detector. However, I did purchase and use my other machine because I feel Minelab has dropped the ball on the Xterra as far as promoting and adding acc.'s for it that would keep it performing at a high level and make it more versatile. Now my Xterra is a backup and used very rarely and will continue to do so until other coils that fit my preferences for the machine become available. Also, the 10.5" DD coil is a fantastic and deep coil but because of physical problems I have, it creates a weight and imbalance factor for me. It would be great if any further deeper DD coils are lighter. JMHO.

After posting my initial response, (which consisted of 3 emoticons represting the guy rolling on the floor laughing) I was sent a message accusing me of mocking DirtAnglers post. That was not my intent. I read DirtAngler's posts and believe he is an honest man with positive motives. In retrospect, what I should have said initially was....

"opinions vary....... only time will tell"

I have personally contacted MineLab on several occasions reletive to the demand for other LF coils, as I'm certain that Randy and others have also done. I have even included links to the "petition" thread as well, which I was assured was forwarded to the powers at be.

Now given the explanation of the product development process that Randy outlined in the other thread and the time that's involved, and given that our "petition" thread started December 24 2011, and assuming that just maybe the manufacturers might have had plans to make one already anyway (as they did with the WOT which has been out about a year), I don't think it unrealistic to believe that we may have something else new comming our way in the not too distant future.

I felt the same way as many now express. But whether we get what we want from authorized sources or not, the childish attitude of "I want it! And I want it now! And I don't care if it's not right!", is something that I got over and I hope that all that read this do too.

Digger, I don't understand your reply.

I think the post was closed because of the discusion on other non Minelab Coiltech products more than anything but it does show that there is an argument about thing like that which detector manufacturers should consider.
I have chosen a particular brand because for me and the conditions i search warrant it . Many others will find the Minelab or Coiltech coils are what they want and for some sites here they might be right too but not for Brighton beach in the UK , maybe the small coils but not the very big . Even the small are too small for that beach with all the competition there , you will miss out.
When minelab make the type i want then i will have one , they got the machine pretty much right so just the coil to think about really.
Not trying to stir but a good debate is a good thing i think.

Forum sponsors think that ending a discussion about it will put it out of mind and sight. But it just shows they're ignorant because rather then chime in on the discussion they ***** and compalain to have it closed. laughable imho

Might be able to do that in the US but here we are much more open to all markets .

Even if they are not licenced to make them , they are still sold and are not quibbled about over here.
Back in the 1930's Booze was forbidden i think in the US or earlier or something but all people used to do was make Moonshine.

Class A or harmful drugs i aggree ban them but if someone makes something that works then just learn by it and up the game and make it better. Thats how a country doesn't end up like the complete dump i live in ! To think this country was an Empire, makes you wonder what the competition was like then or was it just luck?

ENOUGH!

Give it a rest!
You've been told that they are a clandestined product. You've already been told that they are not sold by any site sponsors.
Do NOT further the discussion of an illicit product on this forum! Period.

This site can't prevent you from pursuing and/or purchasing whatever you want. But it does not have to allow promotion of it.

I was not promoting anyone's product but by the sponsors wanting that thread closed I choose not to buy from any of the sponsors here then. They want my mouth closed then I will keep my wallet closed to them. It's just a thread for crying out loud. Lol.

No, but a lot of people use and talk about them ...coils here in UK without any hassle. Wish this forum could be more open minded since people use them and will not stop to do it until there is
a bigger line of licensed coils for our belowed Xterras.Cant blame them people.

Been here for
