Is the only difference in the old and new crossfire coils the plug? Garrett shows the coils for the GTA 1000, 500, 350 and CX models use 6.5 KHZ. I think the newer crossfire coils are in the 7 to 7.2 KHZ range? Did Garrett only use two plugs - the old style and the new style? Does the new plug fit most all the new detectors?
