Coil Recommendation

Hello, everybody.

I am going to be getting my Safari on Friday :) and am posing a question to any and all who which to give friendly advice.

If you could pick one other coil for the detector what would it be in addition to the standard 11" DD.

My detecting will most likely be a 50/50 split between the following.

Relic and Coin -- from yards & forest to farm fields.
Coin and Jewelry (Beach) -- I have access to good beaches in Massachusetts (not as good as Fla or West Coast but none the less pretty good).

Note: There are no "Butterfly" coils on my list below, at this point as I am not sure my skills are advanced enough to warrant one now. Perhaps down the road I will invest in one, but for now I will keep my next coil purchase to a standard one.

I am thinking of the of one of the following:

8" EXcelerator Concentric Search Coil.
6" EXcelerator EQ 2 Pro Search Coil.

But I am really leaning towards the:

4.5 x 7" EXcelerator Search Coil for Minelab

Am I missing any or do you favor any other coils I am not looking towards.

Thanks to any and all for taking the time to read and offer any support or information you may have left me.

If you are going into high concentrations of trash or iron, such as around old cellar holes, etc. Then the 4.5x7 will probably do you just fine. The most important piece of advice I can give you, is to be patient with the new machine if you are not familiar with it. You may get frustrated at first, but don't give up because this is an awesome detector. You always have this forum for advice and encouragement, I have stuck it out with my safari and have found 3 rings, and hundreds of coins in the past 2 mths. Get to know your safari and once you got it figured out, then maybe get another coil. It is important to get good with what you have, unless your dead set on another coil. Hope this helps !!!

Thanks Ron I will take your advice. I just ordered Andy's book "Mastering the Quattro" as well.
