coil size help

I currenly am using a 1280x and want to buy a new CZ20 for water detecting in Fl, but need some feed back on the size of coil to order it with. This forum is a wealth of information so, I would like to get some pro and cons from people that have used both.

I like the 8 on my xcal,,,less resistance,,guess its personal preference,,But I only waterhunt with it...Running sunray 12 on xs on dry sand for coverage,,,cs
 
Thanks for the info. How do you like the xcal? I am not sold on the cz20 yet so I was wondering about the xcal.
