Coil wire connector

Rob (IL)

New member
I found I have a bad connector on the coil wire on my CZ. Where can I buy one. it's the one that screws into the box.

The connector on the coil wire is a Switchcraft Sl405MX. It can be purchased from many electronic supply houses. If the whole connector is not wrecked, maybe you can just purchase just the part of it you need. Not sure I have helped or totally understand your needs, but here is a data sheet on the connector.

That was perfect. Now I can order the connector before it gets back from calibration.

On further examination I believe it is a Switchcraft Sl405FX. It would be a female connector, right? All my other coils are.

The difference between a SL405MX and a SL405FX is, one has the male pins and the other has the female pins. On a CZ the connector that is attached to the coil has the male pins in it. The female pins are in the connector that is mounted to the CZ control box. That is how my two different CZ's are made.

You would be correct. I believe you and thanks again. Ralph at SunRay is sending me one and I will have it for my weekend trip.

Ralph is a great guy. Too bad he isn't hooking those connectors up to brand spanking new FZ-12's. :poke:
Cheers,
tvr
