Will some one tell me which coil is transmite coil.
I just opeaned a minelab VLF DD coil, with 2 over-
laping coils.
one coil looks to have about 20 turns #30 wire.
other coil about 50 turns #15 or #20 wire.Thanks.
Frank.

Did you find a preamp in the coil housing?
The coil connected to the preamp is the receive coil.

The Low Resistance winding is the transmit winding in most VLF coils including the Minelab DD VLF Coils.

Thanks,
There is a preamp. Both coils are connected to it.
But the coil with more turns and larger diameter
wire is also connected to plug cable. You and BILL
