coil wire problems with stock 10.5 coil

Last two times out could not stop explorer xs from sounding off constantly. tonight I realized just the movement of the coil made a sound. Tried moving cable where it enters coil, again same sound. tried 8 in. coil no sounds. Does this cable normally break? and can it be replaced? Thanks for any replies. HH Airfitter ( Ted )

Falsing and chattering like anything, thought I was around power lines all the time, then I noticed it got better or worse when I shortened/lengthened the lower rod.

Mine was bad on the connector end. I was able to cut off an inch of cable and resolder the connector back on and it's been good ever since. Don't think you could field service the coil end but I think at least you know what needs to be fixed.

Thanks Chris, I was afraid of that. It looks like the cable is continuous right into the coil.I was hoping for some kind of bulkhead connection.HH
