Coils vs Depth reading

I was curious if anyone out there can tell me the difference in depth readings between the different coils? I have found that the 950 is relatively accurate depth wise on most targets and I have not used the 5.3 enough to tell the difference yet. Also, is the depth reading accurate on the DD coils (Excellerator and White's coils)?
I don't remember seeing too much regarding this and would appreciate any info.
Also, I have the stock 950 and 5.3 White's coils and am considering nugget hunting from time to time and was wondering what coil would be reccomended.

Are you (both of you) about ready for a nice warm Spring!?!?
I have a grandson down your direction and, if I can get the time this year, I am going to try and make it down that way. Maybe I can find a nice target or two that you've missed? Hum, aa.... I mean, maybe one or two you've kindly left me! <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">
I know for a fact that when I get that way I will be hitting some of my favorite ghost towns and some renovation work around Ogden and SLC.
Hope all is going well with you.

say, did you ever find any of your stolen detectors? i've often wondered about that. i guess a guy in texas just had an explorer II stolen a day or so ago. unfortunately, these machines are becoming more desirable targets for thieves. hh.

They didn't really try, either. I am just now trying to get back to having all the 'outfit' I had then. Have made a couple of changes, or considered some, to my personal battery, but hope to be ready by the time I make my next Utah/Nevada trip.
Hope this is a rewarding year for you!
