Where in the heck can i buy one of these...
I saw one on amazon for $200 but am a little leary.Dont want a counterfeit coil..

Call a site sponsor. I know that Bart had them.

Yep! Minelab award winning dealer, Coiltek authorized dealer, and all around good guy.

If you live somewhere that has a high level of mineralization, then I would say yes, but more due to it's being a DD than because of frequency. The response difference is the big thing. Low frequencies slam high conductors like silver, copper, aluminum, and brass, making it easier to distinguish most coins from iron trash.

I have the 6" digger, 7.5 stock and 10"dd coils, the stock 7.5 and the 10 DD both easily go deeper than my 6" digger on my XT505 here in my CO soil...size does matter for depth but each coil has a specific purpose.
HH John
PS the stock concentric coil is not a DD
