Coiltek Digger Coil Only FInds Silver Tonight

I've been excited to try this new coil out so I headed for a spot in a local park that has yielded more silvers than any one location that i've detected. There were two areas about 15'x30' where I found about 8 silvers a few years back. I've gone over that area with both 10.5" coils and my two 6" Minelab coils. I've literally spent 6 or 7 hours at this site. I went back once last year and I think I only found a wheat.

Tonight I went back and the grass was a little high but I made a bee line for the 1st area which is closest to the woods. After about 40 minutes of digging a few targets I came across a kind of sketchy 38-40. I dug about 6" down and turned over a 1937 Merc! This merc is verging on one of the oldest coins that I found in this park.

About 20 minutes later I had a similar iffy signal but strong enough for me to dig and I was surprised to pull up a nickel. After another 45 minutes I hadn't found anything else but those two coins so I packed things up and went back to the truck. I looked at the nickel with my magnifier and it ended up being a 1943 war nickel! I'm kind of amazed that the only two coins that I found were silver. Once they cut the grass I'll give it another shot and hopefully find some more coins.

Still not ready to give a full review on the coil yet but the first day I got a V nickel, yesterday a couple of wheats and some older clad and today a merc and a 40% silver war nickel. So far, I can't complain.

Congrats on the goodies!.

Congrat's on finding silver.

I'm sure the Digger coil helped some but also as you get better with the xterra you will find yourself digging more of those iffy signals and in turn finding a few more older coins. the reason why their is still old coins in those hard hit parks and schools is because they are not real good signals.
