Coin hunting with a PI

I know the idea of hunting a park with a PI is scarrryy. However after using an Explorer in a worked out park from 1856, I soon realized that there were coins at 10+ inches still waiting for excavation. You could run an Explorer over it and find them or.....one could take a Deepstar II along with one of those 14" periscope probes and do some serious spelunking at a known
heavily hit old site. What do you think!?!
