Can anyone tell me the name and where you can purchase a produce called Blue ???????. It preserves old copper, and iron artifacts making them darker and more detailed

Hi David-
I believe you're looking for "Blue Ribbon Professional Coin Conditioner and Preservative"
My bottle is marked as distributed by Harco, El Paso Texas.
The stuff has been in and out of availability over the past few years--though I see plenty of it at coin dealers and supply houses on the net when I Google it. I'll leave a link for the first site I came across, though I've never done business with them. The price, at $8.95 for 2oz. is typical.
The stuff is really meant more for copper--not iron, as far as I've heard. It's 1,1,1-Trichloriethane with a lubricant. The solvent cleans the coin and evaporates, leaving the lubricant to coat and protect it. A little goes a long way. I sense that you probably don't want to breathe the vapors, or touch the stuff--and the bottle I have states that it is "Manufactured with CFC-113, a substance that harms public health and environment by destroying ozone in upper atmosphere." Perhaps that's why it has been unavailable at times.
But it sure makes my coins and buttons look nice!
Good luck & HH, Dan
