Coin Surprise

I went back to old homesite that produced the 1913 barber dime and the early wheat"s last week still looking for the 2 cent pieces that had been found here by others in years past.

I got a good signal on ETP at 6 inches. Dug her up and thought id found my first seated coin. Instead it was a 1909 1/2 franc. I also found a 1912 D wheat in vg condition.

Yeah metalfun I do.

Its an old pre-1900 homestead that has long since been torn down and farmed over.

Its in the middle of a 160 acre soybean field. Still looking for the 2 cent pieces, would like to cross it off my detecting bucket list,
