Coins and a button

Here are some photos of finds from an area that formerly had about 10 houses in a row. The first photo is of coins found on 5th Feb, second photo of coins found on 7th Feb. I didn't get out detecting for a month, had to settle for reading the forum but went back yesterday and the result is the third photo. The army button gave an Id of 40 when it was in the ground, one of the rare times I have had a 40.I had found a button of the same type peviously but it gave an Id of 36 but it had the split pin fastener still in it.

Very nice coins. Bet those big pennies come in loud and clear. Button came in at 40? Usually the only 40 readings I get are bigger items.

A month since being out? Since I have become addicted to this hobby I start having withdrawl symtoms after about 2 weeks.

Hell John,
great pics! In the third photo that round thing on the bottom right is part of a fob watch. I find a lot of those here. But you probably knew it was! I really like the button. Angela:)

Thanks Bob, Our predecimal stuff does show up well with the Quattro, as does the decimal copper coins even though they are small. At least by finding pennies you get an idea if you were the first to detect a site or not as generally the soil here is not noisy. Don't worry, I was going through withdrawal symptoms, one thing wrong with having to work, it gets in the way of detecting.
