Coinstrike compared to f series

Hi,

What detector would the coinstrike compare to in the new f-series? Would it be as good as an f-4 or would it be down toward the new f-2 range?

MY opinion it's not as deep..but it does track, and I liked that feature... It loved Old Indian Head Cents............ A much underrated detector.

Learn the combination for setting it up..it will find the coins. You must understand the set up or it will not work well.

thanks guys. I was talking to the kellyco guys when I was trying to decide what fisher to buy and they recommended the f-4 but then I got a steal of a deal on the coinstrike. Like new it looks like for $275 shipped so I figured a $1000 retail detector for that is pretty hard to pass up and just wanted to make sure I did the right thing.

Read everything and every hint on it. I'm goinig hunting with my buddy who uses a C$ today and it is deeper than the F4 or F2, I'm betting. I've seen him dig 12" coins with it using the 8" coil. It's ID is dead on also.

Good deal!

Is what I meant to say......... DOn't know what I was thinking typing those words... I was refering to F4 as not as deep and that the C$ tracked too.. A big plus in trashed parks and mineralized soils.. And I noticed it posted twice..with words missing in both posts..

you got a "sweetheart" of a deal!..this detector is definately a "sleeper"
cz depth along with great "separation" in iron sites... as previously mentioned,it is imperative it be set up properly, and
does have a learning curve,however once learned,achieves excellent results.>
"bill ladd" used one of these extensively for awhile, and i am sure can give some wonderful advise on it's use.

(h.h!)
j.t.

Far deeper then the F4 (I've had both the F4 & C$). It's a quirky machine, but if you get it dialed in correctly and don't have EMI issues, it can go very deep and LOVES round things (not always a plus, as there's a lot of round JUNK). For the price you paid for it, you really can't go wrong.

I think it is closer to the f70 or even the F75.
It even has more options then either one. I like the f70 but the Coin$trike is my favorite detector to use and i currently have a CZ3d, T2, and Quantum2 and just sold a 70.
You can pick up a new one really cheap and they will stand toe-TO-toe with any high price detector on the market , (I know because I have had most of them).
