coitek 15 inch wot on beach

HI! EVERYONE IVE BEEN AWAY FOR SEVERAL YEARS LIKE THE PRODIGAL SON. IM GLAD TO BE BACK IM FROM CALIFORNIA PALM DESERT AREA. I HAVE A QUESTION RE: 15 COILTEK ON XTERRA 70 ,I NEED HELP FOR BEACH DETECTING IN THE WATER ,AND ON SAND . WHAT SETTING SHOULD I HAVE ON DETECTOR., PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS THIS PROBLEM WITH XTERRA 70 . I GET LOTS OF STATIC ON THE WET SAND ,THANK YOU MUCH ,AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN THIS 2015. HAPPY HUNTING.

The X70 is not the best choice for salt beach or water. Too high of mineralization in the wet salt sand and water for it to work smoothly. Some do MD the wet salt sand, you could try to turn the sens way down while moving slowly over the wet sand, but that big coil will give a lot of false readings and sounds..... forget the water, it would drive you crazy!
I use my 705 on the dry beach sand all year and love it, but for the wet and salt water you need a multi frequency machine or a water machine like the Excalibur, Dual Field, CZ21,...go to the beach and water section and see what they are using. GL
