Recovered a 1937 "merc" which gave off a nice , clear high signal although it was so thickly encrusted.

Was hoping that it was a Barber...but , not this time.

Here's a pic of the coin ( before and after cleaning)

Thanks for looking

25* outside now...hope it warms up a little ...I hear that low tide callin' again :smoke:

Hello Vernon,

I think Elson is talking about one of those 1960, Mercury Montclair, Turnpike Cruisers, that you could run at 100 mph
and feel as if you were only going about 50 mph. Great engine and even better suspension.
Elson should dig more of those overload signals. He just might find one.

Hello Elson,

Thanks for missing me.

I've been doing a lot of teaching and a little detecting. The detecting is currently
on hold because of the snow and cold temperatures.

After thirty-six years in the ed. biz. I'm reading, checking, marking, and grading
more slowly than I did in my younger days.

There are so many students to persecute and so little time.

Respectfully,

The Nutty Teacher

I am not playing with you; Some of the people in my club tried Garret, I think every one in time got rid of them because they were being beaten by Whites and Explorers, I think that you wou would do better with either one---I have tried Explorers but they were heavy enough they hurt my arm so I never bought one---The V-3 is the Best Balanced detecter I have ever had---I have found dimes 9 inches deep with it, They were all clad even that deep !
