Cold Rock?? Or what??

I've been playing with the T2 in all metal mode with the 5 inch coil lately. Basically I'm just piddling and expanding my knowledge of the machine. Additionally, as a whole I seem to always have a more productive day when I swing the small coil. Last night I was running some tests in my yard after dark in the test garden. Again, just trying to expand my knowledge, I decided to spend a few moments just scanning the yard and listening to the target sounds for a seconds before looking at the TID with a flashlight. Several times I hit targets that sounded decent while swinging, but were silent while pinpointing, until I swung away from the target and then the machine would sound off. So nothing while over the target, but sounded off as you moved away from over it,,,,, is that a cold rock you reckon? I wasn't set up to dig anything, but I may go back later and dig a few of those.

Usually when your target and pinpoint locations are different it is iron, or a large target pulling the detection field slightly off. The large item causes the field to warp slightly. There is a term for it, but I can't remember it off hand.
